The Festival Theatre Opening Times are Mon to Sat, 10am-6pm or until curtain-up during show days. These days may be subject to change, especially around holiday periods, so check our Box Office weekly opening times.

The Festival Theatre is located at the heart of Edinburgh on 13-29 Nicolson St, Edinburgh EH8 9FT.

FIND US ON FOOT
(From Princes Street) The Festival Theatre is on Nicolson Street, which is the continuation of North Bridge heading south from the east end of Princes Street (the Balmoral Hotel is on the corner of Princes Street and North Bridge). The theatre is on the right hand side of the road; approximately 10 minutes walk from the east end of Princes Street.

The nearest rail station to the Festival Theatre is Waverley Station.

FIND US BY BUS
The Festival Theatre is accessible by many different bus routes across the city.

The main Lothian bus routes which serve the Festival Theatre are: 3, 3A, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 47, 49

FIND US BY ROAD
The Festival Theatre is on Nicolson Street, which is the continuation of North Bridge heading south from Princes Street. Please note there is limited street parking around the Festival Theatre. There is a small car park located about 5 minutes walk from the theatre on Niddry Street (7am - 11pm, 7 days).

Parking

Enjoy up to 5 hours parking at NCP’s Holyrood Road for only £5.50 when you see a show at the Festival Theatre. NCP are offering this incredible saving of £13 to our audiences which is redeemable by visiting the box office with your ticket, where you can request a validation voucher.

The car park is open 24 hours, has over 300 bays (including disabled bays) and is just a 9 minute walk from the theatre entrance.
